Resolution on Cannabis Related Businesses
Whereas, the State of Colorado has legalized possession and recreational use of Cannabis sativa in their state, has applied an excise tax to its sale, and has already seen major revenue influx since sales first began on January 1, 2014, and
Whereas, the State of Delaware is a state known for its being a favorable climate for chartering and registering corporations, and, as such, derives a healthy portion of its income from such transactions, and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY OF DELAWARE, that once the General Assembly votes to re-legalize such possession and recreational use of Cannabis sativa that it should also make such changes to corporate law to permit such businesses which deal with Cannabis sativa to make a home in Delaware. and
Be it further RESOLVED, that the State should advertise such a change in statutes to welcome such new corporations.
